My coach has to be perfect!

There is a common ideology in the world of coaching that Coaches have to be perfect.  If that was true then no one would be a Coach.  There would be no coaching for athletes, singers, actors, writers, etc. etc. etc.  Everyone is human, in fact, the Word of the Lord tells us that no one is perfect.   Let us look at God’s Word on the subject of the perfect person.

Romans 3:23 Amplified Version (AMP)
23 since all have sinned and continually fall short of the Glory of God

God is telling us….. we all fall short!

However, a trained Coach has learned a specific skill set to help you find your way back to where you were originally heading.  Even more, a spiritual Coach can help you get back to your Divinely Created Purpose and Passion.  When we are in the thick of the storm we can’t see the roads very clearly.  The roads are foggy and obstructed.  So a Coach can help you clear the path.  Digging even deeper, your Coach was sent to you by God, the creator of your breath, why not allow the Lord to use him or her to get you back on the right road?

In addition, a spiritual Coach has to have moral excellence.  He or She has a higher responsibility.  We believe, stand, and stick to the Word of God.  He, Abba, our creator, has final authority over what we do and say.  We are bound to moral excellence.

2 Peter 1:5-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)
5 For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding), 6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, steadfastness, and in your steadfastness, godliness, 7 and in your godliness, brotherly affection, and in your brotherly affection, [develop Christian] love [that is, learn to unselfishly seek the best for others and to do things for their benefit]. 8 For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Next time you find yourself stuck or unsure of what your next step will be, why not seek out a Coach.  A person you can trust and is heading towards their God-given dreams.  You’d be surprised how the Holy Spirit will use a person if you let them.  Remember God loves you and He wants nothing but the best for you.  He will send you to the right Coach.  Just be open and receive.  Worst case scenario, you hire another Coach.

You know the many traps of the enemy.  You know his plans for us and our loved ones.  Abba, I thank you for Coaches.  I thank you for the time they have invested in their skills.  I thank you because through the leading of the Holy Spirit many will get back on the right roads.  I thank you for Divine connections.  I thank you for spiritual promptings.  I thank you for wisdom and discernment.  Abba, you are the only true God.  We honor you!  We praise you!  We worship you!  In Jesus Christ name, I pray, Amen!

Good bye Toys “R” US!

Goodbye Toys “R” US! You will be greatly missed!

Did you know that Toys “R” US is closing?  I didn’t!  Wow! It really is the end of an era. Since Technology became children’s babysitters some relied heavily on toys.  Now, toys will never be the same again.  Let’s take a breath, according to their website “Store Closing FAQ’S“, some sites are pending “landlord leasing negotiations”.  Wow! I’m speechless.

In consequence, what does that mean to the “toys” industry? According to Forbes other toy companies will suffer such as Mattel and Hasbro. What was once a thriving toy metropolis is now a vanishing dream. What will happen to the toys of the future?  Robbin Williams gave us a synopsis of what was to come in his 1992 Toys movie.  He prophesied that pure-wholly-innocent toys will be destroyed by the non-gender specific soldier toys.  We were warned and we did nothing!

Is it too late to regain our children’s innocence in their toys?  I don’t know but I wish we could step up to the plate and change the course of the future.  I don’t know about you guys but for me and my household, we choose to serve Abba.  That means we; my husband and I, are intentional about what toys our son plays with.  We take an active role in what he engages in.  Though we have adult children now, we know we raised them the same way.  Evenmoreso, I can see how my daughter is intentional about what toys her children play with.

Joshua 24:15 New International Version (NIV)
15But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Goodbye to innocent toys. We will keep your memories alive!

I pray for the restoration of our children’s innocence. Abba bring back the toys that nurtured and inspired our children to walk in godly behavior. Bring our children to your presence Lord. Use our children for your purpose and your plan. We lift our children up to you Lord. Only you Abba know the future so I thank you for protecting our children and hiding them from the schemes of the enemy, thank you, Papa! Abba we praise you, we glorify you, we honor you. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!

Good People Bad Things

Good people-bad things

How many times have we heard it said… “Why do bad things happen to good people?”  Oh and how about….. “Why do good things happen to bad people?”  Yes, the proverbial question.  Why does good happen to bad people and why does bad happen to good people?  Let’s look at what the Word of the Lord says.

Mark 10:18 Amplified Bible(AMP)
18 Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is [essentially] good [by nature] except God alone.’

In this verse, the Lord is teaching primarily about divorce but He clearly states NO ONE is good!  In the ministry I serve under, I hear this saying all the time.  “Why did he XYZ if I am a good woman!”  Unfortunately, I have to lovingly correct them.  No one is good according to the Word.  Not you, not me!  In our core, we are conditioned for bad.  We’re not good.  Only the Father, Adonai, is good.  Only He is worthy!  Only He is Holy!

Now let’s stretch this concept outside the content of marriage.  Why do bad things happen to good people?  Again, we have to remember, no one is good.  Having that settle in our core, we can see things from a different perspective.  Having the understanding that we are all by nature bad,  we can choose to look for the good in each one of us.

Where is the good in war?  Where is the good in massacres?  Where is the good in slavery?  Where is the good in divorce?  Where is the good in violence?  Where is the good in theft?  Where is the good in genocide?  These are all perfectly healthy questions.  We are to ask the Father, where is the good in the bad.  He’s a big guy, He can take our questions.  We don’t question His hand, we question our understanding.  So where is the good in these moments?  Let’s have a look at some bible verses that prophesy about our situations.

  1. War: We will hear and see rumors of War.

Matthew 24:6 (NIV) 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

  2. Massacres: We will see unexplainable massacres.  As heartbreaking as they are, it has been prophesied.

Matthew 2:18 New International Version (NIV)
18 “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted because they are no more.”

  3. Slavery: Please know Adonai abhors any fashion or form of slavery!  Though, we can see in the New Testament that slavery was happening as clear as day.

Acts 16:16 (AMP) 16 It happened that as we were on our way to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave-girl who had [a]a spirit of divination [that is, a demonic spirit claiming to foretell the future and discover hidden knowledge], and she brought her owners a good profit by fortune-telling.

  4. Divorce: Abba hates divorce because of what it does to the people’s heart. And He is very clear on His commandments.

Romans 7:3 New International Version (NIV) 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.

  5. Violence: It has been prophesied that our hearts will grow cold as the days come to an end.

Matthew 24:10-12 Amplified Bible (AMP) 10 At that time many will be offended and repelled [by their association with Me] and will fall away [from the One whom they should trust] and will betray one another [handing over believers to their persecutors] and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will appear and mislead many. 12 Because lawlessness is increased, the love of most people will grow cold.

  6. Theft: When someone breaks into our homes, it is a violation of the peace in the home. However, it has been prophesied, there will be thieves amongst us.

Matthew 6:19 New International Version (NIV) 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

  7. Genocide: There will be Kingdoms and rules who think they have the right to take another’s life.  This includes abortion.  The greatest genocide of humankind.

Matthew 24:7 New International Version (NIV) 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

As you can see, everything thrown at us has been covered in the Bible.  We are not by nature good people.  Only the Father in heaven is good.  He has given us His Word which is an instruction book for our lives.  If we read the Word daily, we wash our brains from what we think and we begin to think how Adonai made us think.  Only He is good!  We will experience heart-shattering moments but we will also experience heart thriving peace.  The peace that surpasses understanding.  As we rest in who He says we are, we walk out what He has created us to do.

Romans 11:36 The Passion Translation (TPT)
36 And because God is the source and sustainer of everything, everything finds fulfillment in him. May all praise and honor be given to him forever! Amen!

Only you are good.  Only you are worthy.  Only you are Holy.  Abba, as we go through our lives, let us remember it is you who is in control.  Let us remember that you have instructed us how to avoid the pitfalls of this life.  Let us remember you will be there when we fall and you will help us get back up.  Let us remember we don’t fear because you are near.  Let us remember you’ve got this!  You have gone before us.  You are our Father, our creator.  We love you, Daddy.  In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!

David and Goliath

Your True Anointing

We have heard the story of David and Goliath over and over till our ears burst, right?  Well, I propose we take a deeper look at a short hidden message within the story.  David a young Sheppard boy goes out to face Goliath, the legendary human beast.  Before he goes off to fight him, David is given Saul’s personal armor.

1 Samuel 17:38 (NIV)
38 Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head.

David tells Saul that he is not used to that armor.  Now, let’s pause here.  How many times have we put on someone else’s anointing or armor and wanted to be like them?  Be honest now!  Furthermore, how many times other well-meaning leaders have tried to put their anointing on us?  I emphasize tried because it is up to us to receive it.  Unfortunately, many in the Body of Christ still don’t know that crucial element.  Receiving!

Moving forward, David knew early on that there was no way he was going to beat this beast with someone else’s tools, power, or anointing.  Likewise, we are not going to beat our beast carrying someone else’s anointing.  Yes, we can definitely impart anointing.  Like I said, it is a gift who wouldn’t want to be blessed or bless others with a gift right?  However, we should pray for our own revelatory anointing.  Straight from the heart of the Father.

We should all pray for a fresh anointing that comes directly from Abba.  Our own personal anointing.  It is there that we are able to beat the beast of our lives.  In fact, when I pray for people, I pray that they build on my shoulders but for them to have an even higher elevation.  We are a body.  We all build upon each other.  However, we need to know our true unique anointing.  Will we be like David and recognize that we can’t carry someone else’s anointing?  Will we in humility and honor thank our leaders, receive their gifts but speak to the Father so that He may anoint us a fresh?

With a fresh anointing, we can successfully kill the beast in our lives and the beauty of it is once we have destroyed that beast, it no longer binds our children’s, children’s, children.  We change history!  Will you pray for a fresh personal anointing?

Abba, we humbly come before your presence.  We thank you because you are a good Abba.  We thank you because you are merciful.  We thank you because you are Holy!  Abba, fill us up with a fresh unique anointing.  We thank you for our leaders, Abba but we want a new fresh unique anointing.  Fill us up, Daddy!  Only You are Holy!  Only You are Worthy.  In the Perfect Name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!
